Before any procedure is performed, a physical examination is undertaken to further define the cause of the
suspected problems. Part of this examination may necessitate any of the following tests to be performed:
- Radiographs (X-rays)
- Blood tests
- Fluoroscopy (moving X-rays)
- Computed tomography (CAT scans)
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Joint taps
- Myelograms
- Needle aspirates and cytology
All surgical procedures are undertaken only after we discuss the details of the procedure, the expectations
for the procedure, the potential risks, costs, and home care required.
