Dr. Eric Schertel

Dr. Eric Schertel earned his veterinary degree from the University of California at Davis in 1982. While at Davis, he received his PhD in cardiopulmonary physiology in 1987. Dr. Schertel trained in small animal surgery at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and was a faculty member from 1987 to 1993. He served as Director of Research in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery in the College of Medicine at Ohio State University from 1993 to 1998.

He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Dr. Schertel joined MedVet in January of 1999 and serves as its Chief Operating Officer.
